On behalf of the Emnambithi/Ladysmith Municipality, I greet you all.

It is a great pleasure for us as the Emnambithi/Ladysmith Municipality to welcome you all to our town of Ladysmith.

It is an honour to know that Ladysmith is the first stop of this whole trip, we are honoured.

Our town is best known for its amazing historical sites and the history behind the town itself. It is the hometown to the ever so great Ladysmith Black Mambazo and many other South African icons and it humbles us that all of you have graced us with your presence today.

The knowledge of Ladysmith being branded all over KZN and more especially at the Durban July makes one proud to be a product of this town.

It also makes one feel that this is not just about the celebrities travelling around but it also aims at job creation for our town.

I would like to say that Loliwe has our full support with their venture to create jobs for our locals in future.

I thank you all for supporting this Tourism initiative which brings a bit more light on small towns such as ours.

I urge you to carry on for many more years to come.

I would particularly like to say a heartfelt thank you to the Department of Economic Development and Tourism for launching this initiative, with the aim of increasing domestic travel.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your train ride and the Durban July.

Thank you
