30 brand new computers for Isigidisabathembu Primary school in ward 30

The school was the recipient of the state of the art computer after there was a letter as the request from the school which Minister of Science and Technology Naledi Pandor highlighted on, that the president once visited the area before and came back with this request to parliament for technology development in the area.

In her speech to the community gathered at the event, Minister Naledi Pandor promised to return to the area of ward 30 for farming activities since there was no agriculture activities in the area. She also encouraged youth to engage themselves in Physical science and Mathematics because this country needs more engineers and scientists.

The school also received solar panels which use interactive electricity which contribute in reducing the use of electricity hence minimising the usage, these solar system compile of gallium and aluminium that support technology in generating energy. These products are generated here in South Africa, of which are in demand by other countries and they have started being exported to countries like china.

The MEC of department of Health in Kwa-Zulu Natal Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo voice out words of encouragement to students to use these resources for their own benefit in order to capacitate their minds and be skilful. The MEC was at the event on behalf of the KZN Provincial government, appreciated the recognition of the assistance to Minister in uplifting communities especially in the rural areas.
INkosi Sithole thanked the contribution of the Minister and also asked the community look after their facilities and maintain them in good condition.

Alfred Duma Local Municipality Mayor Cllr Vincent Madlala, delivered a vote of thanks and thanked greatly the Minister for the outstanding contribution that the department had made. He also thanked all the stakeholders who had contributed to the success of the event as well as encouraged the learners to take good care of the facility and report any wrong doing.
